Some of you may remember Sinatra, the tiny girl who tap danced at our Dinner Theater in December of 2015. We received tragic news that her father was killed earlier in the week. For those of you who are interested, Hope Through Harmony has been invited to volunteer at HAWC (Houston Area Women's Center) on Friday, October 14, at 9:00 am. If you would like to donate a few hours of your time, we are looking for five or six ladies to come with us. After we are done, we will go eat lunch together. Give Miss Deb a call if this is something that interests you!
This is a non-profit organization within The Art Of Music Learning Center, where student and staff volunteers travel to high-risk communities to educate, love, and care for other parts of our city. With the holidays fast approaching, this is what we're asking for:
1) Clothing donations - Don't give your old clothes to Good Will! Give them to us, and we will personally deliver them to the communities that need them most! 2) Non-Perishable Food Donations 3) Toy Donations - Again, we will hand deliver them! 4) Shoe Donations 5) Book Donations - Don't throw them away! We will pass out books to the communities. It doesn't matter what genre! 6) Bible Donations - If you have Bibles laying around that you're willing to donate, we will pass them out at the communities who need them. 7) Last, but not least, if you're willing to volunteer your time, that would be great. PIZZA WILL BE PROVIDED! October 8, 2016, at 6:30 PM - Adult Ensemble Party Adult Students are invited to a jam night to do ensembles! Where: The Art Of Music Learning Center November 5, 2016, at 6:30 PM - Campfire Jam Where: The Art Of Music Learning Center Cost: $5.00. Bring your guitars and your voice! Bongos are good, too! Hot dogs, Marshmallows, Sodas, and MUSIC! It is a beautiful Tuesday morning! I hope that everyone is having a blessed week, so far! Last week, TAOM was blessed to receive Daisy Mahaffey as our Admin Assistant/Event Planning Coordinator/Marketing Support lead. Daisy has volunteered for the past two years to make sure shows and events run smoothly, but I'm pleased to announce that she is now formally on staff! Join me in welcoming her at the end of July!
